My Cat Cassie

I have a cat that is the love of my life. She is in her 21st year. She was an Rspca special.Bought for my mother in law when aged about 2 years old. She had an infection from her desexing stitches and was suffering a form of rickets. I was told to take her home and give her medication. Everything was going to plan except I fell in love with this beautiful little girl. Since then she has won numerous large cat shows. I retired her when she did not enjoy them anymore as she would still do really well I am sure. She now has to have daily injections for fluid to keep her kidneys hydated and pills for her inherited heart murmur and thyroid. There is nothing I would not do for her.She sleeps with her head on my shoulder everynight until waking me at around 2am with little love bites to my nose. She is letting me know I am loved in return.I know when the time comes she will let me know when it comes to say goodbye to each other in this world.I know it is not yet as when other female cats come to visit she is still the old boss of her large patch. I am just so privileged to have this wee silver tabby tortie . I feel so sorry for the person who dumped her and her unborn babies which did not survive. My gain , Their loss. My mother in law forgave me in the end. May my girl and I still have more quality time for more cuddles and kisses. Verna and Cassie Hornby Christchurch New Zealand.

I think Cassie sounds like a special cat who loves you very much. I have a cat I adopted who shows me love by giving me licks on my hands and feet.

What a beautiful story, I am owned by a beautiful black cat with big gold eyes named Mystic, and she is the TREASURE of my heart as well.I could really relate to your story and bless people like you who adopt treasures from the spca that unfeeling people had discarded. It sounds like your TREASURE gave back tenfold as did my Mystic, who was from the spca as well.I hope that you have many more happy years together and thank you for sharing Cassies` story with the rest of us.
