MY NEW GIRLS

I have previously submitted 2 stories on this site about my dogs that I have owned and that both passed away.

Khadizias Challenge about my Pit Bull and An Angel with a Halo Bright about my working Kelpie.

Happily I now have two Pound puppies, both special needs dogs as they were abused dogs. I am happy to say that Mahalia Jane a border collie/blue heeler cross and Ellyssa Maree a Jack Russell/Staffy cross are settled, happy contented and now very much loved. FOr them I wrote the following entitled.
I HOPE YOUR READERS ENJOY THIS.

MY NEW GIRLS

My new girls are precious to me, just as precious as can be
Both of them I love most dearly every day I wait to see
what new mischief they’ll engage in, just what things they both will do
Is today the day we garden or perhaps we can help you.

When I’m painting Molly is eager to assist wherever she can
Constantly I find white hairs in the fresh paint, and in the can
Little Elly also helpful manages on face and lip
to have specks of paint appearing as from paint can she did sip.

When I take my two girls walking, they explore each bush and tree
Noses twitching, tails are waving, as they rush along with glee
Did a rabbit pass this spot here, did that Labrador go by
Was that where the poodle squatted, yes it was, well so will I
.
When I have visitors arriving, what a welcome they receive
you would think that you were special if my two girls you believe
Much excitement, lots of barking, lots of wagging tails you see
We have visitors, that means biscuits, look Mums putting on the tea

Every day I wake up happy knowing that my girls are there
Waking to their happy faces, knowing just how much they care
They are my life, I am their life, all survivors just we three
Mahalia Jane, and little Elly and last but not least there is me.
